Case study:
Growing membership and increasing revenue with online payments.
Alan Nadin is a coach and Webmaster for Mossley Juniors FC who are a club based in Greater Manchester and winners of the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Mossley Juniors FC use Pitchero in a range of ways from team match reports and highlights across age groups on the website to the Manager App and Club App for selection and communication.

The first step is to encourage members to manage their teams online - which also helps with managing and protecting the data of their junior footballers:

“We’re integrating everybody and using Pitchero as our registration platform because of GDPR.”

According to Alan, ensuring a member database is available to the relevant club contact, whether that’s a coach or child welfare officer, makes it easier for their club to organise themselves:

Having gone through registration with parents, it’s been dead easy. Keep it simple - which is exactly what Pitchero is designed to be - so everyone knows what they’re supposed to be doing.

The club has plans to explore online payments that would allow them to sell memberships, teamwear or tickets to social events through their website and Club App.

Juggling priorities for all volunteers is the chief challenge but there is also a hope to use Pitchero to give their sponsors more exposure in the future.

Needless to say, a club needs a robust infrastructure and online security plays its part in that. For Mossley Juniors FC, they’ve chosen Pitchero for peace of mind:

“As a club, we’ll have all of our digital records protected and everyone’s on board. All the trustees are convinced that it’s the most secure, modern way forward.”
