Wow new members with a professionally designed website
A professional, smart website will attract new players and club members.
Simple, clean and fresh. A new design will take any club from Sunday League to Premier League.
To request a professional custom design upgrade to the Elite or Ultimate package and complete the online design form and a member of the design team will be in touch within 24 hours.
The new design can include logos, photos and club sponsors. The Pitchero design team will work with you to make sure the design matches the ethos and personality of your club.
Googling your club name is the first thing a parent or player will do when searching for a new club to join. This is why having a custom club domain name is essential. It means local players and parents can find your club website with ease.
Most clubs on Pitchero already use a custom domain name - here are a few examples:
Pitchero offers a FREE domain name with the Elite or Ultimate package.
With either package, your club can register a new domain name or map an existing domain name to your Pitchero website URL. PLUS - each domain name includes matching email accounts.
Recruiting new members starts by making them feel welcome. We recommend adding a fixed news item to your club website reaching out to new members, welcoming them and offering essential advice.
Here are our top tips for writing a welcome post to new members:
Be friendly and sincere
Provide a short introduction of the club
Direct them to the key sections of the websites
Contacts
Coaches
Training times for each team
Online registration form
Include a photo of club members
Keep the news item fixed within your news section and update the news item as more information becomes available.
The most common question within any club house; 'Who is the coach, who do I need to speak to...'. Make it easy for all new members, add the names and contact details for all age groups to your website.
Many new players and parents want to speak to the coach before they attend their first training session. They do this to check times and dates, the standard of the team and the clothing they need to wear.
Another great way to do this is via the Pitchero Mobile Apps - the Club App and the Manager App. Once registered, new members can use the apps to contact coaches and request information.
Club Actions
Update the club website with coach and team admin information
Include: name, email and mobile number
Promote the club apps and make sure ALL managers download the new Pitchero Manager App for team communication.
The most important question - 'when is the first game?!'
This first fixture provides a key moment for all club members, new and old, to focus on.
As soon as the new league fixtures are released, promote them via a club news item and social media. Make sure all of your coaches and Team admins have access to the club control panel - so they can do this themselves.
To save time, Pitchero provides a centrally managed competitions system, this may include fixtures for your team. Check this frequently to see if your league has been added or email Pitchero (support@pitchero.com) and request for the league to be included.
Club Actions
Update your website with pre-season and league fixtures
Make sure all Coaches have Team Admin access
Check the Pitchero competition system frequently or email Pitchero and request for your league to be added to the system
Summer training is a great way to introduce new members into the club. The weather is warm and training sessions tend to be skill and fitness based - ideal for new players to find their feet.
Make sure the summer training dates and times are clearly displayed on your website. Add a fixed news item to your news feed and update all team pages. Take photos from sessions, post them on your club website and across social media. Encourage players to share the photos across social media, add comments and 'Like' others.
Happy players, enjoying a training session will attract new players.

With the vast majority of the population owning a social media account, it is highly likely your new or prospective members will be using a social media channel. Pitchero focuses on two channels: Facebook and Twitter.
We recommend all clubs create a Facebook and Twitter page and use these to engage members - new and old. Both your Facebook and Twitter accounts can be connected to your Pitchero club website - this means content posted on your club website will be automatically shared with your social accounts - saving you time!
To make the most of social media, your club should try to post updates throughout the week, a mix of news items, events, fixture alerts and pre-season training times. To help, Pitchero has created a set of templates your club can use across Facebook and Twitter.
If your club has upgraded to the Elite or Ultimate package, the Pitchero design team will create graphics for social media channel at the same time.
Below, we have listed - by sport - examples of text and images your club can use when posting to social media. Please use these examples.
Try to post 2-3 times per week. Use photos and videos!
