As smart cities of the future develop, Connected Kerb’s charge points support Internet of Things (IoT) and other future technologies designed to have a positive impact on people and the planet.

The company is committed to the future of sustainable mobility and aims to ensure that no one in the UK lives further than a five-minute walk from a charger.

Reviews of Connected Kerb

“One thing we thought was really good for these on-street chargers is that the charger is underground and the socket that goes above ground which means it can be repaired easily.”

- Lynton Green, CEO Warrington Borough Council

“As well as the low visual impact of the charging units themselves, were ally liked the user-friendliness of Connected Kerb’s charging process, namely easy setup and registration. The fact that there are no upfront fees or subscription costs for our customers is also a huge bonus.”

- Peter Wild, Hilton Garden Inn

“The installation of Connected Kerb’s charging points has really made charging my electric vehicle so much more convenient. With no driveway and charging points nearby, I had to find charging points further away which was a bit of a hassle. Furthermore, the fact that they blend in with their surroundings means that the street still looks neat and tidy and of course it’s great news for air quality in the area.”

- Richard Rose, resident at Regents Park Terrace

Case Studies & Testimonials

Hilton Garden Inn

The Hilton Garden Inn, Abingdon has signed a contract with Connected Kerb for the installation of four dual Gecko chargepoints. These were activated and available to use for customers and staff from day one.

They can be easily found on the Connected Kerb app, where drivers are prompted to enter their payment details and begin a hassle-free charging session.

THE CHALLENGE

The Hilton Garden Inn Promise states: “Our goal is to make your stay better and brighter.”

It wanted to add easy-to-use charging infrastructure in line with demand, avoiding large numbers of unused chargepoints wherever possible but providing enough for customers and staff with electric vehicles.

The hotel also recently underwent a refurbishment after the pandemic so wanted to install charging points that were visually discrete in keeping with their new exterior.

THE SOLUTION

The dual Gecko chargers blend into the surrounding environment and allow two vehicles to charge simultaneously from one unit.

The solution meets the hotel’s requirement of keeping provision aligned with demand. Although all chargepoints have now been activated, Connected Kerb does provide the option to install enabling infrastructure underground. The above-ground socket can be added at a later date once EV demand rises.

THE CHALLENGE:

Installing discreet, reliable workplace charging infrastructure that allows employees, visitors and members to charge their vehicle while on RSC premises.

THE SOLUTION:

Installing discreet infrastructure to provide reliable charging for staff, members and visitors, while generating a return on investment.
